Abuela Taught Me
Abuela Taught Me is an Afro-Taino 2spirit collective walking a path to decolonize spirit and share ancestral medicine. By collaborating with radical community based efforts, we offer wisdom-shares, natured based youth education, and host ceremonial healing spaces. We create herbal care kit for Black organizers. We support Black organizers in their resistance work and have sent out dozens of care kits to support Black resistance movements. We engage our communities in joyous and creative ways, and these series of collages reflect our dreams of Afro-Indigenous futures. We carry medicine from previous generations in order to pass knowledge to the next 7 generations. Join us in affirming, we will heal by any means necessary!
